EXPOSITION: DON'T ROB MY WOODS

Woods, or forests, is overgrown with a lot of variety of plants, especially trees. It is a spreading form of life in entire world. We can find any forests in tropism area or cold climate, in lowland or mountain area, in small island or big continent. The trees can we called as forest if they can create their own climate and have typical environment condition which different with surrounding.

Forest, has a lot of functions, such as, as a habitat of millions of flora and fauna, as an oxygen producer, as a provider of water resources, also act as a balancing of environment and it can prevent the rising of global warming.

My country, INDONESIA, is the eighth of tenth widest forest area in the world. Even it is the widest forests area in Asia. I am very proud of it, because my country has a contribution as "the lungs of the world". But, sadly, I had to know the bad news about my forests. The news about the forests of my beloved country. A weeks ago, i read some of articles about the forests in Indonesia, and one of it said like this, "Recently, Indonesia's forests which also reliable as the lungs of the world were getting high rapid deforestation. Especially, Kalimantan which just had 44.4% remained in 2010. If continued, it is estimated that in 2020, the forests will just had 32.6% only." How miserable it is!!

Why the forests should have deforested? Why? Is this because of the success people who wants reach more money? With build many tremendous building? Destroyed the forests and replace it with a luxurious building with a cement as its base, not a fertile soil anymore. Don't they think what they do can accelerate the global warming? This is so sad.

Not only can accelerate the global warming, the excessive deforestation of forests can make a millions of flora and fauna loss their habitat, then they can be extinct. How pity our next generation, if they can't see the various of flora and fauna which still can seen by us, but we destroyed the flora and fauna's habitat. They just can see the various form of cements, not the wonderful nature view.

Another trouble that can we get is the increasing of temperature of earth. Why? because of the decreasing of forests, so the producer of oxygen is decreasing too. There is no more carbon dioxide sink, so the temperature will be increasing.

Once, i heard a landslide in many districts. When i read the articles, i conclude that it is because the deforestation. There is no water bonding as much as before the deforestation was done. Ahhhh.... too many disasters that caused by deforestation.

The cutting of forests is very easier to do. But, we should waiting until many decades to see it grows as before. I want my children, my grandchildren, until the next generations still feel the aroma of nature, can seen by their own eyes. they can look into the various flora and fauna. I don't want they just can see from technology. The real experience is more precious than just sit at home and surfing use their technology what they can't see . So, PLEASE DON'T ROB MY WOODS, OUR WOODS FOR BETTER LIFE, BETTER FUTURE.

Adapun hasil produksi PT. Samick Indonesia adalah Piano dan Gitar. Piano terbagi menjadi Grand Piano dan Upright sedangkan untuk gitar terbagi lagi menjadi akustik, elektrik dan bass. PT. Samick Indonesia berdiri pada tahun 1990 dengan Nomor dan tanggal SP / SPPP No.66/I/PMA/1990 tanggal 3 Maret 1990 dan mengalami perubahan No.552/III/PMA/2003 tanggal 21 Mei 2003.

PT. Samick Indonesia berlokasi di desa Kidul kecamatan Cileungsi kabupaten Bogor Jawa Barat. Menempati tanah seluas 42 hektar didalamnya terdiri dari bangunan pabrik serta kantor pusat seluas 9,6 hektar.

Jakarta - Salah satu produsen alat musik terbesar di dunia, Samick, baru-baru ini telah meluncurkan sekumpulan gitar yang tercantum dalam seri baru bertajuk Samick JTR Series. Sebuah konferensi pers pun digelar pada Sabtu (7/4) lalu di Rolling Stone Cafe, Jakarta dengan kehadiran perancang gitar ternama John Thomas Riboloff, sesuai inisial JTR tadi.

Mengenai gitar rancangannya ini, Riboloff menjelaskan bahwa walaupun didasari oleh desain gitar-gitar yang muncul pada dekade ’40-an hingga ’60-an, ia meyakinkan kalau Samick JTR Series tetap merupakan kreasi-kreasi baru yang segar.

Ia menambahkan, “Biasanya, dalam memproduksi gitar, merek gitar menggunakan materi-materi yang didapat dengan murah; dan itu berarti kualitasnya pun tidak bagus. Tapi tidak dengan Samick.”

Riboloff juga menjelaskan tahap-tahap yang dilakukan dalam membuat gitar di hadapan para hadirin, mulai dari sketsa, woodworking, cara menyesuaikan leher gitar (menurut Riboloff, tingkat kelembaban udara di Indonesia dapat menyebabkan leher gitar melengkung), hingga finishing.

Selain penjelasan dari Riboloff, acara malam itu juga dimeriahkan dengan klinik dari Didi Crow serta penampilan dari grup bernama Tanya Project dan band yang diperkuat oleh Riboloff sendiri, yaitu Bakar Boogie Band.

Riboloff sendiri merupakan eks-karyawan merek gitar papan atas, Gibson. Ia bahkan sempat menjabat sebagai Head of Research and Development di perusahaan tersebut dan bertanggung jawab atas perilisan ulang model Les Paul pada 1990 dengan berbagai modifikasi, seperti leher gitar yang lebih ramping, penyempitan headstock, perangkat keras dari nikel, hingga penggunaan logo lama.

Gitar bernama The Les Paul Classic tersebut seringkali dianggap sebagai hal yang menyelamatkan Gibson dari penggulungan tikar setelah bertahun-tahun mengalami nilai penjualan yang rendah.

Riboloff juga merupakan perancang gitar Gibson SG signature gitaris Black Sabbath, Tony Iommi. Selain itu, di bawah pengawasannya, Gibson juga menghasilkan gitar-gitar khusus untuk sederet nama legendaris, seperti Jimmy Page, B.B. King, Slash, Zakk Wylde, Joe Perry, Angus Young, Eddie Van Halen, hingga Richie Sambora.

Kini Riboloff tinggal di daerah Cileungsi, dekat Bogor, di mana pabrik Samick berdiri sejak 1992. Di sanalah mayoritas alat musik keluaran Samick diproduksi.
